what do I do?

who do i work with?

I have supported people who:

  • Have been signed off work with burnout and who are suffering with the mental and physical consequences of chronic stress

  • Are struggling with Imposter Syndrome, lack of confidence and self-doubt which is impacting their career and their relationships

  • Have spent so long putting everyone else’s needs first they’ve lost touch with who they are, what they want and need and how to go about it

  • Are navigating the challenges of parenting, particularly with children who have neurodiversity, SEN or emotional issues

  • Struggling to come to terms with a diagnosis of neurodiversity and how to navigate life with this new self-knowledge

  • Want to find more balance and joy in their life but don’t know how

  • Are coping with chronic physical pain which is impacting their quality of life and mental health

  • Find it difficult to navigate conflict or communicate their feelings and needs effectively

  • Are struggling to support others, either colleagues, elder care or family members with challenging needs

  • Feel overwhelmed and anxious by the sheer pace of life and the mental load of keeping all the plates spinning

how can i support you?

I don’t have the answers for you. But one thing I know for certain is, you do.

What most of us struggle with is we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to listen to our own inner wisdom, we don’t recognise it when we hear it and/or we don’t trust it when we do hear it. This is where I come in.

I offer people:

  • A safe, non-judgemental space to listen to their own inner wisdom.

  • Tools to help access that inner wisdom.

  • The encouragement to trust that inner wisdom and follow it.

The only person who knows what’s right for you, is you. I can’t give you any answers, but I can help you find your own.

bespoke 1-2-1 coaching and support

The majority of my 1-2-1 clients work with me on a bespoke basis. We start with a half hour chat where you tell me what you’d like support with and some goals you have in mind. I will ask you to complete a detailed health questionnaire to ensure that working together is safe and appropriate. In some circumstances it is more appropriate to see a counsellor or therapist for example. It is essential I am aware of any past trauma, and of any physical or psychological challenges you might have such as neurodiversity, chronic pain or disability so that I can accommodate these and support you to the best of my abilities. The questionnaire gives me a good overall picture of how you are and what you might need support with.

My approach is generally a mix of pure coaching (asking you questions that prompt you to reflect) and teaching (offering you information or tools that might support you in your goals).

I draw on the following to support my clients:

  • Mindfulness

  • Compassion

  • Non-Violent Communication

  • Neuroscience

  • Psychology

  • Internal Family Systems and Voice Dialogue Method

  • Nature

  • Creative Practice

  • Journalling

What knowledge is given and tools are offered depends entirely on you, what you need and what you are open to trying. Training and experience guides me to what is most likely to work best for you.

I usually ask that my 1-2-1 clients commit to at least six, one-hour sessions as this allows enough time for progress and change to be realised. We can then leave it there, or continue to work together as agreed between us.

My aim is always to make myself redundant. When you feel you don’t need my support any more for this current chapter of life, I have done my job.

I am currently exploring alternative ways of offering my services to make them as accessible and fair as possible given the difficult economic times we are all struggling in. On that basis I invite donations based on what is financially viable for you and the value you feel you have received. You cannot know that until after we have worked together. To understand more of why I am exploring this approach, you can read my blog post here. Thus far, this approach has enabled me to meet my own costs and continue to support those that need it.

It has truly given me tools to maintain a better balance of emotions, create more calm and perspective in my life and be more compassionate towards myself and others. THANK YOU! Would highly recommend.“

Laura, 8 Week Introduction to Mindfulness Course Participant

  • "In a nutshell, mindfulness has transformed my life, and I’m now sharing this with colleagues globally. It's not some mystical concept; it's a practical, everyday tool that has made me a better, more resilient version of myself. If you haven't dipped your toes into the world of mindfulness yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot. It might just change your life too."

    Sam J, 1-2-1 Coachee

  • "I had the pleasure of working with Katie as my coach. I was able to experience her incredibly nourishing environment and apply the examples we had discussed to help guide my thinking and behaviours. Her approach to coaching blew me away. I did not expect to encounter such a warm and engaging person. Thank you, Katie, for opening my eyes to better coping strategies that not only benefit me from a work perspective but also from a personal one.”

    Sam W, 1-2-1 Coachee

  • “I can’t recommend the course highly enough. It was life-changing for me, I learnt so much and feel I understand myself so much better now and am better equipped to cope with the ups and downs of life. I feel I am a better parent for it.“

Xandie, 8 Week Introduction to Mindfulness Course Participant

  • "What I appreciated most about Katie’s teaching style was her gentle and compassionate approach. Her guidance helped me to develop a greater sense of self-awareness and to become more present in my daily life. I found the practices most useful when preparing for talks and calming myself before presenting. Katie brings both expertise and empathy to her teaching, and I am grateful for the skills and insights I gained from her course.”

Joy, 8 Week Introduction to Mindfulness Course Participant

  • “Right from the start of the course I was made to feel very welcome and valued. The content of the course was far beyond what I was expecting, there were so many interesting concepts and ideas which I have taken away to think about further and put into practice in my everyday life. Katie creates such a welcoming environment and brings her own relatable experiences to the course, which have helped me to understand myself more and realise little changes can make a huge difference to my life.”
